Solid Waste, Recycling, and Garbage

The Town of Sullivan provides solid waste and recycling services from GFL Environmental. The cost for these services is included in the Town Tax portion of annual property taxes. In the event of a missed pickup or to schedule a large pickup, you can contact them directly at 1-800-248-2373 

Solid Waste (Trash) Collection

Collections are done weekly on Thursday except on holiday weeks which then is one day later. See the accompanying brochure for further details.

Recycling

Recycling pickup is every other Thursday except on holiday weeks which is then one day later.  See the accompanying brochures indicating pickup days and materials to be recycled.

Clean Sweep

The Town also supports the Jefferson County Clean Sweep program.  Please refer to the Jefferson County website for details on Clean Sweep.

***The COMMUNITY TRANSFER SITE, next to the Town Hall Shop is for TOWN residents ONLY***

SURVELLIANCE CAMERAS ARE IN USE.  UNAUTHORIZED DUMPING MAY BE SUBJECT TO A $250.00 FINE

For your convenience, residents can drop the following items in designated spots behind the gate next to the Town Shop:
>Bulk Trash Dumpster
>Electronics Dumpster
>Grass & Leaves area
>Scrap metal area
>Large battery area


NO TIRES, ASPHALT, TILE, PLASTER, CONCRETE, OR ANY CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS ALLOWED AT ALL!
ALSO NO FURNITURE, WOOD, MOTOR OIL, OR BRUSH CAN BE ACCEPTED!

If you have hazardous waste materials and need a place to take them, check out Dane County's "Clean Sweep" website.  It's open to anyone but has certain hours and there may be a fee.
